i checked the ice thursday 1/8 night new bowers had 4 inches about 40 yards out but the beach in the campgrounds had about 2 inches did not really check anywhere else i called gateway bait Friday to see what they have heard there they said it was not safe yet.....next weekend should be good to go for sure

I STOPPED OUT LAST WEEK AT TUTTLE POINT AND THERE WERE SOME GUYS FISHING OUT ABOUT 200 YARD AND SAID THE ICE WAS 3-5 INCHES THICK BUT NO ONE WAS CATCHING ANYTHING BUT 3INCH PERCH.
