Went out Thursday night for crappies and had good success.  With the clear water in Nimi this year, the fish are biting much better after dark right now.  Hit up towards the northern end of the lake.  The key was weeds, find deeper holes or weed edges and the fish were there.  But you had to work for them, not many willing biters.  Waxies seemed to produce the most bites.  Spoons pounded thru the weeds would bring in fish, but maybe 1 in 10 would hit it.  They needed something more subtle.  After calling them in with the spoon, I dropped a glow jig rigged horizontally down and finessed them into biting.  No real monsters, but some 10-11 inch fish.  Got a few nice gills after dark too.  No dinks after the sun went down.
