auger blade sharpener

seen these sharpeners on ebay last night i do not see them for sale anywhere else so im assuming there no longer in production but i figured for the price what the heck so i got one figured maybe some of you guys may be interested in picking one up to...i know in northeast ohio nobody sharpens blades so if this thing works it will be worth its weight in gold

For $10, its worth a shot.  I've purchased a couple in years past, but have never developed the exact technique in getting a good edge. Good Luck with it though.

i have a sharpener similar to that i keep in my rod bag....i have a knife sharpener like the auger sharpener i posted and if it works anything like that it wont be able to be beat my knifes are always razor sharp when i use it cant wait to try it out when it gets here but i have no dull blades to try

Hope it works for you. My experience with sharpening auger blades has got me buying new ones when needed. The geometry of the blades is a mystery to me. You can get them sharp enough to shave with but they won't cut ice. Had a guy at work who has a surface grinder sharpen mine once. They worked pretty good but not as good as new ones.
