Prices on used stuff?

What is up with all of the prices on the used gear on this site? I'm seeing new stuff for similar prices. Must be nostalgic value!

Peak of ice season. Most retailers are sold out. If you reaaaaaaaly need it you will pay for it. Another month to month and a half. Barging basement deals.

Cabelas and  bass pro have their stuff on sale. Ive seen new vexlars and marcums cheaper than on here. If people are buying at these prices I've finally found my get rich quick scheme.

Do you like it? is it worth the money? what did you have before?

Yea I like it, digital technology is awesome, worth the money, and upgradable to an LX9. I've had a Zercom colorpoint for years which is really a Marcum. I have it listed for sale on here. Needed to upgrade.

Thats where I bought the VX-1. I hope i can get it back. it was my spare. I use a eagle fishstrike 680 as a back up now. mostly for GPS
