With all the talk about this being a horrible winter coming up I was wondering what everyone thinks about the possibilities for the upcoming season. Will it be more or less productive, longer or shorter, snowy or not?   I'm hoping for a nice long productive season although I might not get to fish as much this year because it looks like I might have one of the busiest years in the winter I've had. Still will fish, but maybe not 5 times a week like the last 2 years!  ;D

Well I see I'm not the only one anxious for hard water. I can't wait and already have started making plans. I don't know what it is about ice fishing but I truly enjoy it more than any other type of fishing. This will be my third year and best year yet I'm hoping.

I have never made it up to Lake Erie to ice fish but it's a must this year. I'm trying to figure out where to stay and where most walk out from. I've looked at the hotel / motels and really I don't need anything fancy just want to be close to where everyone walks out.

I keep hearing about the winter being warmer than normal which to me means too much snow so I voted shorter. I hope I'm wrong.

Ĺiving in the buckeye state I don't think anyone knows what the weather will do next week much less a few months from now. All I know is I am jacked up for my second ice season. It needs to get here so i can stop buying ice fishing stuff and start using it. My e bay account is smoking. Lol.
Also would love to hit erie on the ice. May go out with a guide a time or two if I can't find someone to tag along with. Not something I wanna try on my own the first time. But  seeing those pics of all the slobs coming through the ice last winter sure got me interested. I can't wait.
Anyway, back to ebay.lol.

The start of football season is upon us so ice fishing is just around the corner. Yea! Tried to vote for a longer season but it wouldn't let me vote. Can't wait to get back on Erie. The dock tourneys should start in Nov. (hopefully). I would rather ice fish than soft water fish. There is just something magical about pulling fish through a hole in the ice and you have to find the fish instead of drifting or trolling until you locate fish. Bring on the ice.

I voted for the same as last year. I have already been packing the truck and getting ideas of what else to buy except augers. I should have that covered, LOL.

I'm going to say about the same time I guessed safe ice last year.
the time you spend fishing cannot be deducted from your life...
