Any news on the ice? Heard from some that theres a decent amount of ice and the fishing is good...?

Currently sitting at Long Island.  There's about 3.5 in of ice. There's about a dozen people out here now.  We've been here for about 3 hrs and haven't gotten a nibble throwing spikes and waxworms.

1st pulloff or the flat by the bridge?

Flat by the bridge but we've hit 3 spots covering 200 yards.

I am at the bridge not a single mark on flasher it's slow I mean slow not nothing hitting anybody doing any good

I caught 10 gills by the 1st pull off.....nothing of any size though...

I fished the first pull off yesterday and part of today. Caught quite a few but only 14 keeper gills and one nice perch between the two days.biggest gill just under 9 inches.  Ice was about 3-4 inches. Tried out towards the main lake (bridge area)from there yesterday and talked to a couple guys who fished it today . Dead sea. Couple guys on the south side of the bridge but I don't know if they were catching anything. Nobody on north fork or achesons. I was by myself so I didn't go exploring.

Nice little haul there! I'm going with a buddy in the morning so hopefully the ice will thicken up a bit more over night. I'm a little bummed for everyone who got skunked, I hope I have as much luck as bucket with some gills, it'd be REALLY nice to find a stash of eyes though.

Went to long island and caught a few gills, my buddy however caught a 15 & 17" saugeye!!! It was tent city on the nw side of the island and there were about 10 spread out across the road near the bridge. Ice was about 5-5 1/2" of ice. All in all a good day one the ice
