Ice Conditions?

Anyone been out? Is the ice fishable?

I was was out Monday. Ice was good (6-8")except for the ramp. I still wouldn't use the ramp yet. Quite a few people out. Just caught a few dinks and lost something big before I got a look at it.

Just curious which days to take off next week.

I saw 3 shanty’s yesterday. Spudded a little myself and had a few too many go through on the first try. I saw one person walking around the hump not spudding. I’m not in much of a hurry so I’m waiting a bit longer.

I fished the UPground on Monday 1/28.
Ice was 4" and growing.
The bite was non existent except for the 24" catfish that decided to bite on a waxie.
That place never fishes well when the ice is growing/growling.
Marked a lot of fish but the stayed glued to the bottom.

Stopped by the weekend and ice was not fishable. Anyone have a more recent ice condition?
