I have seen the same thing a high of 10 on monday with a low of 1! Hopefully Saturday doesn't mess things up too badly.
Dave made a good point on the other thread about the quality of the ice. White ice is basically unsafe dead weight. We're looking for nice, clear, lake ice(black ice.) You can fish just a few inches of the good stuff. However, there isn't enough white ice forming on any of our lakes to make me feel confident.
Extremely low temperatures will produce Lake Ice, but snow and wind tend to ruin the integrity of the ice, producing White Ice. <<<< Very Bad.
