Will a ice rescue suit work?

I been looking for an ice-suit for ice-fishing for some time now, with ice-suits  $200-$400 I pretty much passed on getting an ice-suit.   I happened to stumble upon a guy that has a ice rescue suit for sale for under $100.     Anyone have one or be able to tell if this would work out?


I know a firefighter that used one for ice-rescue training and he said its comfy but very hot after awhile.    So I am think about using it while I walk out on the ice and if its safe then take the suit off.   Also putting the suit back on to walk off the ice.    Any info would be great.   Thanks.

I have a mustang suit, not hot at all. just right and will save your life!

What kind is it? How old is it? Does the floatation in it have an expiration?

Sounds like a good deal to me if you can find out that info from the manufactures website.

Like Jonny said the mustang will keep you afloat and save your life.

Keep in mind that you'll also be moving around quite a bit once you're out there. If you're buying this based on the safety aspects of having a flotation device that you can wear, you may want to make sure it's something you can wear all the time.
I have to believe you'll be pretty comfortable in it and the price sounds like a great bargain.
