So I caught something strange that Ive never seen at alum. I was fishing... using a husky jerk... and when I reeled in to recast I had hooked a small, translucent, almost neon fish about 1 1/2"-2" long. Long slender, very thin, long jawed but looked nothing like a musky fry.... ARE THERE PIKE IN ALUM????

I am not sure what you caught but I have caught the same mud puppy over and over again at Alum- these things look grose all grown up..could it be the tadpole version of this?

my guess is musky. i've been told that pike and muskys won't be in the same lake. one spawns earlier, and eats the late spawners. add a river between lakes, and that's another story. maybe a pickrel, or a grass pike.
