General Discussion / Re: worms in fish

I don't understand how we wouldn't get the worms also. The only way I could see not getting them would be that we cook the fish. When we cook them the high heat probably kills the worms where when the fish eats the snail it is eating it raw. Safe or not I'm not eating any fish that has worms.

I caught a dozen nice gills and crappie this morning. It was really slow compared to what we were doing last week. the ice was 6 inch's back by the campground. I might go to Old State Park or Mogadore this evening if anybody is interested

I havent done a lot of ice fishing up there but we get some really nice ones in the summer. I talk to some guys that do really well and catch some big ones through the ice down by the cemetary and by the bouy line.

In the last couple of days Ive caught a few perch that are really peppered. Does anyone know what it is and if you can still eat them?

Dont say that. Its way to early for the ice to be gone.

I made it out for a couple hours before it started raining. The fishing was lousy. I only got 6 gills and 1 perch after throwing everything in my box at them. The ice was about 6 inchs back by the campground. All the snow and most of the slush had froze up over night but the rain isnt helping out much now.
