In the market for new cold weather boots. Any decent places besides the obvious to purchase a pair? Also what's everyone's favorite brand?

Alum Creek Dock Tournaments / The final tournament
« on: February 27, 2016, 06:36:33 PM »
Today was the last tournament for the season and I must say that the people I've met are some of the most helpful, knowledgeable and all around great guys I've had the pleasure of meeting! Thank you to David, Ice Fish Ohio and all the sponsors who made the dock tournaments possible!!! Another tough bite today but I was fortunate enough to catch some fish and take two of the three fish pots. You guys made my transition to Ohio a lot easier and I thank you all once again!!

« on: February 05, 2016, 08:26:25 PM »
Marked more fish than I've ever seen before but couldn't buy a hit. Finally around 530 had a couple cooperate. Might be froze over in the morning but I am going to give it a try. Hope to see a few "regs" tomorrow. Good luck y'all

Alum Creek / Dock report 1/31
« on: January 31, 2016, 06:43:05 PM »
Decent bite this evening, landed 11 crappies with a few missed strikes and lost an eye around 5:30. Deadstick with a minnow and a small spoon were the producers.

General Discussion / Tense night

The first 50 feet of shoreline went fast today and unfortunately a couple people found out the hard way. Glad they are safe and home with their families. We were on 5-6 inches but by 5 pm it had all honeycombed and one thunk of the spud was going through. Big thanks to Grant and Jerrod for leading the way tonight! Everyone please be careful! No fish is worth the risk!! This was at buckeye.

Bite was good tonight, a lot of short fish. Managed 5 keepers. Had to keep the bait moving! Try again in the morning.

The bite tonight was very slow. Not a lot of fish marked and saw a few caught but not like yesterday. Ended up with three keepers and a few shortys.

Alum Creek / Docks
« on: January 20, 2016, 08:43:56 PM »
Fished the docks tonight for a couple hours. Lot of fish and bait activity, however the only cooperation were from 14 1/2 in eyes. Landed four of them and missed a few as well. There's definitely fish in there unlike most of the tournaments.
