Yes the eye's are definetly there. Most people only fish them in the summer. For some reason not many people ice fish for them there. I do have some friends that have been doing great on vibes from a boat the last couple weekends. First safe ice were going to go out after them.  ;)

Bait and Tackle stores / LIVE BAIT MANSFIELD AREA
« on: December 08, 2010, 12:16:03 PM »
Running out of places that sell livebait in the mansfield area in the winter time. Countryside Drive thru has waxworms and are going to try to keep minnows through the winter.

Hardwaterjunkie I talked with a guy this morning that has been ice fishing PLEASANT HILL for 15 plus years with pretty good results on panfish. He said once they lower the lake level in the fall that is it. They don't lower the water levels throughout the winter. He assured me that it is safe to ice fish. We are going to ice fish it for saugeye this year I will keep everybody posted on how we do. ;)

General Discussion / Bummed out!!!
« on: December 07, 2010, 04:59:42 PM »
Well i was getting really excited about heading to a farm pond just north of Manfield tomorrow morning. My local bait shop that I bought bait at through out the winter closed this passed fall. So I decidee to go to Walmart and grab some wax worms. BIGGGGG mistake there were plenty to choose from, not only werern't they fresh but they were all dead. Guess I have to drive 35 minutes out of my way to buy bait in the morning. What a bummer!!!!!!! ???
