Fished the tournament today,launched from the old road,fished near the river channel in 18ft. Ice wss a solid 8" and clear! Marked fish all day and no takers. Travel across was tough with deep snow drifts. Tried every trick in the box and came in with an empty stringer.did get to try out my new pulse blade bait,WOW....Wow it truly sets itself apart from other blades the vibration and pulsating action shows some real promise when this weather breaks cant wait to.put it back in action

Drove around in my work van tiday and ran my calls,daydreamed of loading my sled with all my gear strapping on my cleats and spudding my way to my honey hole but just as I was reeling up my first fish the light must have changed because the obnoxious sound of angry motorist woke me from my dream...oh well at least I have the posts from my fellow icemen,I can live my icefish cravings through those.....oh well off to my next call maybe the ice will be fishable this weekend and I can sneek out and drill a few holes

Checked with macs twin bay yesterday they are fishing on 11 inches of ice already, roads have been opened up to snowmobile and atv traffic. WOW HOW NICE WOULD THAT BE!!

Just a reminder as our ice fishing season draws closer to make sure we show our support to the local guys and gals who support us all year long, all the local bait shop owners support us,this site, local tournaments, fishing reports, ice conditions, and the list goes on and on. So lets give them the chance to help us first.the big box stores just dont have the same friendly atmosphere and service with a smile as the guys on this site. Show them some love

Life doesnt always follow the path that we expect it to or planned it to go.the last few days I have spent comforting my dog sierra.as her quality of life fades a feeling of complete helplessness fills my soul.i love her with all my heart.i promised her I would not let her suffer and its a promise I will keep no matter how bad it hurts.part of me wants to be selfish and keep her beside me, but I know that I can not. Sierra is my friend, my companion and my smile at the end of a bad day.my heart breaks, she will be missed.soon I will take her to the vet one last time and she will not come home with me.part of me will remain at that place.it will be the longest trip of my life thus far.

The leaves are changing colors, mornings are cool,60's in the forecast ahead fellow members I can feel the docks of alum creek under my boots, it wont be long now and jigs will be drifting to the mouths of hungry crappies below or catfish whatever you seek you shall find, gather your gear fellow icemen our time is upon us.

Fished berlin today with luvstophish,no walleyes no catfish not much to report other than a grwat day on the water,fished on dam side of 224,fished with just about every combination of tackle not many takers!very dissappointing!
