Everyone wants to hear safe ice reports,no ice is safe,if you report 4"-5" of ice 200 yards from you you may only be 1" with the season we are having,so take these reports for what they are "reports of a specific area being fished at a specific time".my idea of safe ice is what i spud myself,check the ice and continue on if I feel comfortable continuing.we shouldnt chance our safety on someone elses report because they are only accurate for that area,just saying!

As another disapointing ice season draws to a close,i sat and reflected on better seasons,and daydreamed of toothy denizens silently stalking my bait,i didnt get to drill a hole or try any of my new weapons or feel the brisk wind from accross the frozen water(unless i was working)next year i will once again return to isle mn. And for a few days do one of the things i love,so i ask you fellow ifo members lets not get bummed by what we didnt get to do this season but look forward to next season and what god willing we can,and if ohio wont cooperate we will go somewhere that will,post and share your dream trip so we can all experience it!!!

the winters in ohio just arent going along with the ice fishing agenda again this season,we are getting some good cold days then back to upper 30's to 40's and rain.i put my gear up yesterday without checking the weather,guess that was my sign! maybe next year.
