Ice was almost completely gone.  Just a little skim ice in the protected bays, the wind destroyed and busted up the main lake ice.  There was an ice flow that messed up my crappie fishing though, all busted up ice chunks in a big floating mass that blew thru and settled down in my area ending my fishing trip.  Before it came in though I managed a couple dozen crappie (all released), but only one over 10".  Its in the pic. (11")  Heavy waves with whitecaps were on the main lake and made rowing very tough.  Hopefully the wind dies down and ice formation can start!

PS. I caught all the fish using my ice fishing gear and Vex.  Felt good to bust out the short rods again.  Now looking forward to using them for real!!! ;D ;D
