Save up a little more and get a little better model. This unit is good for checking holes but you'll need to spend more money to get the pack to hold it to fish with it. Also you'll have to buy a battery and charger for the setup. I have one. After i was done paying for everything, i could have bought a unit with a bigger screen like the 5.6 model. Check around. You may find a used vex, marcum, or bird at a very good price right now.
