I've heard 6-8" on another ohio fishing forum, but would like to hear from a few more sources once everyone can start moving around outside again. Seems like a stretch to me

Fished Northfork yesterday from 3:00 to 6:00. Ice was 8.5 inches thick. Fished 11 feet of water & caught 1 throwback on a wonderbread vibe. 5 people fishing there & saw 1 keeper crappie and 1 keeper saugeye caught on a vibe 5 feet down in 10 feet depth. Only marked maybe a dozen fish, they just weren't hungry. Thinking Dunns or Moundwood this afternoon.

Fished west of the first pull off at long island from 2-6 this afternoon. Two of us caught over 60 gills and kept about 20. Ice was around 6 inches in most holes we drilled. Bait shop said ice was over 12 inches somewhere but it wasn't back in the channels off long island. Waxies and tear drop jigs. Pink was favorite color. By the time we left most of the snow on top was melted and it was a pretty slick walk back to the truck. Not sure what the next few days will bring for the ice. Great day to be out though.

I went out from the bridge on long island on Saturday. I was 3 crappie shy of the 30 fish limit when the wind chased me off at 4pm. On the walk back in I came across a small area protected from the wind and drilled 4 prospect holes in 5 to 6 inches of ice. Picked up my vex and rod to try the first hole and "bloop" my right leg went right through a hole past my knee. Needless to say I high tailed it back to the truck.
