I was hoping to get out for a few hours today, but it wasn't meant to be because the ice was in bad shape. Most of the lake had about 5 feet of open water between the shore and the lake ice. Some areas had even more open water. Some areas had skim ice, but it has a long way to go before it will hold a person. There were some spots that had shore ice, but when I stuck it with my spud bar it when right on through. One area held my weight, but the spud when through about 4 feet from shore. I noticed a lot of ponds today that were entirely open water. Sorry for the bad report!
