Got a 17" pickerel today in 6' of water jigging a green/chart tinmouth torpedo tipped with a waxie in the weeds this morning.  More details under Nimi.

ODNR officer told me those never propagated LOL. My uncle caught one there last spring crappie fishing about the same size. They catch a few in Long Lake too! Cool fish!

It is!  Never caught one of these before. Pike and musky yes, but now pickerel is off my bucket list!!  They are a really cool looking fish, you can see how they got their name when you see one up close.
