Went out for about 5 hours yesterday. We found fish just about everywhere we looked.
The active fish were suspended at 15 feet over 24 feet of water.
We caught plenty of 8.5 to 9.5 inch fish. We only kept them if they
Were over 10.5 inches. We kept 25 for a nice meal and threw the
Rest back. Fishing is good if you have figured out the new pattern.
Ice was 8 inches where we fished. This snow will keep the lake
From adding too much more ice. We may have fish able ice for
A few more weeks... Hopefully to the end of March!!!!

Nice catch. Sounds like the bite picked up. Hopefully the weather won't be too brutal so I can get back up there early this week.

I talked to Suttalo a little bit ago and he said that there was some open water around the lake, yesterday at 3:00 every thing was fine.

Took the wife out to CJ this evening and couldn't get on lake at Lookout or Damn. Maybe with 20' plank! Couldn'nt believe all the open water. Took here to Marina and fished of docks. Thanks to Tim Guppy and his secret honey hole for newbies :) Sherrie got her first two fish thru the ice 1 gill & 1 crappie.
