Some help for a newbie?
« on: February 11, 2015, 07:49:57 PM »

Guys, not looking for specific spots but I would love to come up from columbus this weekend, and I am unfamiliar with the area and a little nervous about fishing a lake that big. Any areas of the lake you suggest I start looking in or areas to avoid? I would love to catch a few crappie perch or saugeyes. Convenient parking areas. If someone from up there wants to swap more specific info, I can put you onto a good bite at Buckeye lake via PM.

fish, best place to start out is the Long Island area. You can get eyes, crappies, gill sand the occasional perch. Just look for the crowds, with the wind Sat. the crowds willl be small so parking shouldn't be a problem. You can park at a parking lot right before you cross a bridge.
