Ok we went 5mi out this weekend to catch them. Nothing fantastic but you can get away from the crowds there

How thick is the ice walking out from Catawba? Just wondering what you guys have up there.

Ice is 12-16" in most areas, cracks are the focus at this point as far as a safety concern.

Just seen on CNN news lake erie is 98percent froze over,thats the most in recorded history! Wow whatta year!

Went out Tuesday , wind was brutal coming back in. Had to continuously dodge snow drifts otherwise ice was fine. 2 of us got 6 fish all sizes, 11 lbs largest. Wildlife officer checked fish and licenses on return.
