the bothersome transducer float

for those of us who use a fish finder with the float that always moves from side to side, here is a quick fix. Send the transducer down the hole to where you want it, pull the float on top of the ice and pack it down with either snow or the shavings from your auger. I know they make brackets to hold your trans but for those who don't this might help

Such an easy solution and it never occurred to me. Don't mind it moving around in the hole most of the time. helps delay refreeze of the hole and adds a little to the area covered. If I want my transducer stationary, I know how to do it. Thanks for the tip.

I have a vex and a Marcum. Don't have that problem with the Marcum.
