Sounds nice. I haven't wet a line since ice off. Planning on tricking out the shanty a little with some LED lights. Planning on getting my boat in the water a little this summer... Have to pay all the fees and get a trailer plate. Rebuilt the lower. Have to get a battery and go over the electrical system and replace the transducer my dog ate.
Good luck at Erie.

Same here. Only got the boat out for 1 hour in March to test everything out. So far this is the worst year of fishing I've ever had. I haven't caught a fish or gone fishing since the ice. I didn't fish on the boat test trip. I feel your pain!

If it makes you guys feel better this has not been a great year on the water so far. Sooooo many cold fronts. I've been fishing a ton and catching some but just not the numbers and size I usually get in the spring. Crappie eyes smallies. All the same story. Did buy a boat though. Nice to be able to fish when and where I want. Headed to st clair for three days and then erie for 5 more next week. Fingers crossed the weather and fish start cooperating. Hope you guys get out some.

Congrats on the new boat. This year sure hasn't produced much to talk about. I was coming across erie on the ferry a few weeks ago and it was snowing. Things will hopefully start to turn around soon. Good luck to everyone in your summer travels, be safe!

Me too, congrats 30! I just got a new fishing kayak and hope that will increase my time on the water. Can hit some small local lakes if I have an hour or 2. Hope the fishing picks up for all of us!! I just want to go fishing, at this point I don't care if I don't catch a single fish!! Just need a trip to clear my head and relax.

Well st clair was a decent smallmouth trip. Didn't get crazy numbers but the average size was excellent. Most fish over 2 lbs. Lots of 3+ fish and a few over 4. No giants but still a lot of fun. Also caught my first musky. Now I'm off to Erie. Going for eyes and will prob also hit some bass.

Here's the musky. Not a big one but I was pumped. Especially on 6 lb test
