just talked to a friend who was at a bait shop in vermillion sunday,when a guy walks in with a 20 inch crappie,yes 20 inches,state is verifying it as a new state record,and making sure its not some kind of hybrid,it was caught in the vermillion river,cant wait to hear the results.

Think Mark (Mark's Bait & Tackle) in Ravenna has a couple mounted that are near 20 inches.

Sounds like a Crappie on Steroids. Better have a Drug Test lol. I caught 17 inchers many years gone by. it would be a lot of fun bringing one like that up especially while ice fishing,
