I had a skim ice on my pond last night

I spent a couple hours scraping ice off a house foundation yesterday morning. And all the ice was still there today. And my buddy's pond had ice on it. It's looking good. I hope so. If I have to work in this weather I at least want to spend my weekends drilling holes.

Grand Lake St. Marys is starting to get skim ice.  Some ponds along the highway were open and others had a skim this AM at early dark thirty in the morning.  Getting my stuff ready so you can blame me if safe ice does not happen.

Saw some pictures of Indian earlier and some of the canals are froze over. Calm wind and continued cold temps and I'll be spudding next weekend!!

Pond locked up Friday. Don't need 8" of snow they are calling for today!!! With high of 12 degrees on Thursday and low of 0 should be on ice next weekend.  Toss up between trying to get my 3rd deer or fish: maybe both.

Well Jeff, you could always fish a pond and carry gun and pole , It would be awesome setting there catching a few gills and pop a big doe.Lord knows I'm ready too..

Nice to see someone else shares my dilemma Jeff. Next weekend looks promising but I need another deer for the freezer too. May have to hunt sat morning and then hit the ice for the afternoon.
