Breaking the ice
« on: December 13, 2016, 10:45:56 AM »

someone who lives close to Indian Lake give us a hint on how the ice looks over there, I would normally take a spin and check for myself but we're working 7 days a week and just don't have the time. Thanks for any input

Buddy of mine checked long island this morning. UNSAFE!  He didn't give me a thickness measurement but if he says it's no good you don't want to be on it. He goes out when I wouldn't dream of it. Hope the next few days help out.

Those are some pretty accurate ice thickness readings, do you carry an ice micrometer with you?

I love it!  Have you checked out Williams, Bresler, Ferguson or Metzger yet?   I may try to hit one of them Sunday or Monday, depending on how warm and how much rain falls on Saturday.
