Guys,

With this crazy weather I'm thinking of an out of state trip. Does anyone have any recommendations on places that are a days drive from Columbus? At the moment I'm thinking Green Bay but open to other ideas....

I'm on the same page. Going to have to head elsewhere to find ice. Maybe Wisconsin .

Let me know if you do the green bay trip. If I can't get my boat out then I may want to do that

Was toying with a Green Bay trip myself. Hit the marina for brown trout and steelhead or Lake Michigan for eyes, perch or whitefish. Would love to catch a mess of whitefish

I had looked into lake petenwell once. I would do a four day weekend. Got a couple vacation days I've got to use within the next few weeks. If someone has a place in the next few weeks might do a meet up someplace.
I might be looking to do ma trip the weekend of the 21st. Anyone else?
Northern Michigan a possible too.

I like Houghton Lake MI It is a really big lake so transportation is helpful. They have Tip Up Town 20-21 and 27-28 this month.

I was looking at Mille Lacs earlier today. Until my friend reminded me that it is a 13 hour drive. Looks like a cool place though. I'll check out some of your guys closer suggestions.

I'm working on putting together 2 trips in february to Baldwin, Mi. I have access to a nice cabin (sleeps 5) and 2 snowmobiles. Big Star Lake is 10 mins on the sleds and they have great pike, walleye, perch fishing and tiger musky. This will be like $75 - $80 per day
If your interested please pm me. Baldwin is in the middle of the Manistee national forest and surrounded by lakes and snowmobile trails. You can even ride snowmobiles into town to the pizza shop or grocery store.
Know our history or we are bound to repeat it!

Has anyone fished Lake Charlevoix, Mi. before? Read in an ice guide a few years ago it is a good lake to fish and was thinking about giving it a try in Feb.
