I used them today on Indian for the crappie, hand fighting the fish is a blast even if you tend to lose more fish, I haven't got the technique down yet, but it goes something like this, set the hook, grab the line, toss the reel off to the side, grab transducer out of the hole , hand fight the fish on 1lb test line, get it up to the hole and the fish comes off and slides back down the hole. I landed about 30% of the fish I had on, but this is using a 3mm tungsten firetiger glow jig tipped with a red spike
