Got on the lake at 5:30, the guy who came over with me is the one who got the message under his wipers about being towed at his expense, I thought he was bs me but I guess it did happen, he left somewhere around noon. We fished straight out from the boat ramp in 5 fow , no luck at all in the morning, moved up the channel and fished for crappies, I was using a palm reel rigged with a 3mm firetiger glow tungsten jig tipped with a red spike, I kept 16 with my biggest at 14", but I had to work through a bunch of dinks plus the palm reel I only landed maybe 30% of the fish I had on, not sure what my partner had when he left early but I know he had 1 hog of a crappie, I maved back up the main channel at 3pm, I caught 2 eyes using an orange pimple tipped with a minnow head in 5 fow, the 2 guts sitting beside me on buckets limited out using the same rig up, we are not pounding the bottom of the lake , we are jigging about a foot off the bottom, when we mark a fish we work that fish up and down the vex sceen until it bites or moves on. Their biggest was pushing 5lbs, mine was the 17" range.
