Grand Lake Opening Up 2-17-2018

Most of Grand Lake is now open.  Most of the channels still have ice.  We will be fishing crappies very soon. Don't forget to buy your new fishing license on March 1st.

My ice gear gets put away this weekend.  I remember ice fishing on president's day in the good old days.

The channels thawing out any? Sailboat club, marina, or Andersons? Ready for some open water crappie.

Sailboat club and all other channels I have checked are now open.  The water has came up about 4-6" the last couple of days with all the rain and things are pretty muddy everywhere.  I have not wet a line for a month, I guess I am way overdue!  Good luck if yo make it here.  Post if you have any luck, good or bad.

They're biting toadfish. Got to the lake about 1030. Limit by 5. Fished a buddy's place on a channel south side of the lake. They are right in the brush. Chartreuse and orange were best colors. Water was stained but not horribly muddy. Heard the other side of the lake was worse
