Fishable Ice for Friday??
« on: January 28, 2021, 04:12:15 PM »

Anybody have ice thickness report? Want to make the 2hr drive and I know to check my own ice, but don’t want to waste the gas and time if not at least 3-4inches. Any info as always is appreciated. Thank you guys

I just got home, we drove the lake and ended up at the first pull off at long Island. Had 3-3.5 until you hit the channel then 1.5-2. Caught a couple decent gills bunch of dinks. And a small crappie and small perch. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the quick reply! I unfortunately will be traveling solo tomorrow morning so yes, it does help. Hoping today and tonight it builds some more. Did you check any other spots or LI it?

I dodnt check anywhere else, I seen a couple guys at taco bell and some guys at north fork. I'm not sure how they ventured there. Blackhawk was still sketchy so I was told. But the only ice I actually checked was LI.
