Indian was good to me before the warm up. There WAS about 6-7" of ice
at blackhawk. Perch hit pimple tipped with minnow head like the saugeye. They tasted great. 3 saugeye 16-18" hit before first light and after dark. I won't go back on it for a while.

Thanks for the reply, Toadfish! I appreciate it. Glad you had fun. Yes, it will be a while for next ice. Hope we get some soon!

Same here! We had a couple fishable days some places on Portage, but I was tied up for both. Hoping for a cold second half of January and a really cold February.

Got out 5 times including this morning. Fished a private spot this morning and got run off as guy who said he didn't care if I fished it didn't care because he had no say in who could fish there.

I threw in the towel for the season. Shanty is stored away until next year (hopefully). My trip to devils lake north dakota will be my last outing for this season. I guess it was good a good season while it lasted.

I’m getting close. If we don’t get at least a skim ice by Feb 1 I’m going to as well. I always hold out hope till Feb 1. If it’s not here by then, it won’t be.

Just checked AccuWeather forecast (or as some say In AccuWeather ) for the coldest stretch around the Indian Lake area. Jan 26 - Feb 2 ( 8 days) Avg High= 30.8 deg.F Avg Low = 16.8 deg F Is this good enough for safe ice? Just have to wait and see!!

I have 2 ice fishing friend's that may have put the jinx on this season. One bought a new electric auger, the other built a new smitty sled. I'm struggling to determine which one to blame.

I think we’ll get one more shot. Maybe not a long time, but we’ll have a window!!

I was able to fish safely yesterday with only 3 inches of ice on my little pond. I drug out my 8 foot Pelican boat and fished out it on the ice! Didn't catch anything, but had a good time.

Awesome!! I’m very disappointed in this season. Zero trips and it looks like it’s going to stay that way. 😡🙄😢
