No Ice Report 1-4-2023

Grand Lake opened back up today.  Mild temps and rain did a number on the ice we had.

Unfortunately,yes! The long term ACCU weather forecast sucks also. Looks like the sub  zero temps are gone for the season !

I hope they’re wrong.  But it’s not looking good the next 2 weeks for sure.   😕

My first day and last day if icefishing this season were back to back.  The next 10 days forecast will not get us back out on the ice.  If it wasn't for my devil's lake trip to North dakota, I would put all my gear away now.

I know.  This sucks.   I really thought with that cold blast we’d get a nice ice base and the start to a nice long season.   Boy was I wrong!   Totally sucks!

well folks i have been doin this awhile  and seems as though this season is very crummy     very,  i mean dam ive seen freezes come late but  arghhh
i can remember drilling thru 22 inches at moggy  one year .....

Yes, Snowcone. Late freezes are possible. Indian Lake - Long Island - North Fork. Sunday March 8,2015. Sunny and warm. Flannel shirt kept you very comfortable.  14" ice!!!!  Oh, the memories !!

I know.  I’m really hoping for a late freeze.  I remember those days too.   I had really high hopes for this season with those couple of -5 days before Christmas.
