Greetings to all in Ohio. Im sitting here watching another winter Storm. We are 20 miles north of the blizzrd zone and im no weatherman but it looks like one outside right now. the bite here is starting to pick up. we were able to land walleye and sauger last week not much size to the walleye the biggest being 16 !/2 inches but the sauger have been nice size. ive been catching them on the northland vertical minnow tipped with a minnow and a jade colored swedish pimple. The boys finally caught their first fish of the season we got on some perch sat getting 6 keepers in just over an hour, the first was 13 inches butwe lost it when Brett put it in a pile of snow not realizing it was a hole with slush on top so he is back in the river to catch another day. Sunday was our kids fish in Harpers Ferry IA. There was over 100 kids and only 5 fish caught, but it was a good time. This weekend is our family fisheree put on by the Prairie Du Chien Chamber of Commerce so I hope to have a good report for you on Monday. Good luck to all, be safe, and take a kid fishing. Dave
