Fished it hard with minnows and waxies.  Fished just north of the northern most island.  Had 4 tipups set with crappie minnows and 2 rods going inside my shanty.  Caught 3 fish.  One dink bluegill, one 9 inch crappie(tipup) and about a 5 lb channel cat caught on my ice rod with a minnow.    A good bluegill is hard to find...........

Heard that.  This year is different, the fish are in different locations.  I'm having to work harder to find a nice bunch of fish.  It's requiring a lot more moving.

there is about 4 inches of white ice on top of about 10 to 12 inches of clear ice.
