Looks like cold front's starting to move in.  Temps dorpping here, and wind's picking up.  Now just need wind to die out tomorrow so those 10-15 degree temps can do their thing!!  I want to be on some ponds Wednesday!!! ;D

the wind is really blowing down south today & is supposed to blow tomorrow. hope the forecast will be wrong. with this much wind it will be about impossible for ice to form.

Last year the lake froze on a gale. Wind doesn't stop cold. It will just freeze rough and dirty.
If you jig it they will come!

Agreed. In the Bering Sea saw sea spray whipped off the waves freeze on contact; wind chill was - 20 with 45- 50 mph winds. The flight deck of USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) iced over, the planes accumulated ice faster than we could blow it off with steam hoses, then the radar antennaes froze up; we were HELPLESS in about 6 hrs. We turned and ran South in a hurry! 1 escorting DDG literally was in danger of capsizing due to ice build up on the masts and superstructure of the ship. TRUST ME- it WILL FREEZE !

I hope you are right!!! Right now (10:45am) It's 25 degrees and snowing! But the weatherman has been TOO right this year as far as short range forecasts. But where the heck did that cold, snowy forecast go that they made this fall ??? I've got an order comming this week from Bass Pro(Thanks Santa!) so I'll have something to mess around with until ice gets here!! ;D
