I too have the st croix and although expensive was actually cheaper than what thorn bros is asking for the quiver stick. It caught my interest too but it is over priced for simply illiminating the need for a spring bobber. They are one of the few companies left who make their products in the USA so if you have $60-$80 to drop on a rod, I recommend going Thorn Bros quiver stick but next year there will be other manufactures copying this rod for cheaper so at least try to get it on sale or something.
You could also call them and order yourself a customer quiver stick if you want- they are always open to building rods specific to your needs there. I have spoken to the owner on several occasions and he is a great guy.
