Anyone seen the new Rapala Snap Rap?
The colors look pretty good but I wonder how different they are going to be from the original raps.

I got some at the Fin show yesterday.  I think they'll have a more erratic action due to the flat top.  I'm going to fill the laundry sink tonight and see their action.  I'll follow up and let everyone know how they look.

Here's the video for the Snap Rap.  It has crazy action.  The sink is about 20" x 28" and there was about 16-18 inches if water in it.  I never moved the rod tip side-to-side at all.  The only rod action was up-and-down.  Some were gentile lifts and some were snaps.  There was no more than 6 inches of rod tip movement.  You can get an idea for how much this lure darts.  It'll drive active fish crazy.  If fish are lethargic or skittish it may have too much darting action, but then you can just lift the tip an inch or so.  And yes, it is bad when we're "fishing" in the laundry sink!! ;D

Sorry the video quality's not the best, but it gives you the general idea of what this lure's capable of.  I can't wait!!  Walleye look out!...... ;D ;D

I picked up a few at the Fin on this past weekend and plan on sporting them at the dock tournament on Saurday at Alum.

I have posted the updated dates on the main board for December and they are all on Saturday's.

    • Hale's Sinker Supply
I picked up several my self at the fin this weekend and they look awesome. If the fish are in feeding mode it should drive them crazy and they will just attack it. Looks to have more action then a regular jigging rap or shad rap.

Me too, but this is a totally different action.  It's like having a totally different lure.  They behave nothing like the jiggin rap or jiggin shad rap.  They're worth investing in a few.

I think I'm going to get a few this weekend at Fin.  I can see really hooking into agressive fish on these.
