It's been a long time since we've been on the ice, I know we've bought a lot of ice fishing gear and haven't gotten to use it yet. I was wondering what piece of equipment you all are most looking forward to using. I've gotten some lures and rods I'm looking forward to using.
I'm most excited about trying my Jason Mitchell walleye rods with the new Rapala Snap Rap.

I would have to say Im most excited to use my new custom rods. Over the summer I started a custom rod business along with my sinker and jig business. Ive put a lot of time in to these rods with custom checkerboard cork handles and making sure each rod is perfectly layed out. The pic is one of the designs I made. I will try to get pics of the others

Those look sweet! How much are you selling them for and what actions do you have?

There is no set price. Its all in what kind of guides and how much cork work you want done. The cork work takes some time to do so if you go full out crazy with it it will cost more. I do all different actions for micro lite noodle rods to heavy walleye rods. Each rod is built for excatly what you want. I prefer to get the reel that the customer plans on using for that rod so I can match the rod to it. I will just also just make the rod with basic colors if they dont have an idea of what reel they are going to use. Im working on a new rod today for a christmas present so when I get do with it I will post pics.

Cool! Love to see it. I'm looking for a good crappie rod that will handle 1/32 ounce jigs well. Seems like most of my rods are a little too heavy or a tad too lite. I have 1 Jason Mitchell that works perfectly, but I want another one similar action so I can have 2 colors rigged at once and don't have to retie to change colors.

I am dying to use my new Vexilar FL-20. I also want to try my new knowledge after attending the Fin, Feathers and Fur ice fish ohio weekend. I did get some soft water action in Grand Lake, about 20 crappies from 10-12 inches.

;DI picked up an ordered different colors of 3/4 oz buckshot rattle spoons for use on lake Erie. I can hardly wait to feel the weight of a heavy Erie eye on one of them.

I can't wait to get my new Jammin jigs wet, I have some grandpa Bob's fly's that I am dying to use after the fly ice infisherman article came out and Tom's Tackle sent me a couple rock n roll jigs and river dancers to try along with their famous pink charmer that works well in MN.
