Hit buckeye today ice was very sketchy. Started out fishing for eyes in 7ft of water ice kept cracking so I went back to 5ft and found 3.5 inches of ice. Started pan fishing in three hours left w/ 23 gills 8-9 inches and 1 10inch crappie. Ice was melting fast so i headed out around 4. Most gills came on bass minnow and bobber and white/yellow jigging rap tipped with wax worm. I was relived to hit dry land.
