Nimi ice today

Did a drive by this morning. The Christman Road side had open water due to the wind. The campground bay was covered. C-6 had allot of open wavy water.  The Comet road side of the lake had ice and snow on it. C-1 was fairly well covered with ice and snow. The South Main side had the best ice. I walked out a couple of feet at the boat launch at the Nimisila Rd ramp. Its coming on quick, it was all open two days ago.

I did another quick check today at 3:00pm, the whole lake is locked with ice! I didn't have time to check thickness. No open water at any ramp. Yeah!

Ice checked again today. Campground had 4 guys out on it this afternoon. Nimisila road ramp had 2.5 inches of clear with snow cover. C-1 (Falcon Lounge) had 3 inches of fairly clear stuff with snow cover. C-6 had 2.75 inches with snow.

2.5" thats still a little thin for me,but it wont be long.

I saw you out there!  I was fishing a point off of Christman road and could see you over there.  I was wondering how you were doing.  The ice off of the point was only 2.5 inches at best.  Yesterday I went back out there and the minute you cut a hole, water sucked down it in huge volumes.  I didn't stay long due to the strong wind.
