Looking for tips on how to fish for walleye via the troll at night.

Lake erie or local reservoirs ?
When in doubt test it out. No ice is safe ice. becareful out there.

Walleye ...at night,do you mean whiskered walleye
,we night fished berlin a couple times last year at night,no luck with walleyes just crappie and cats,we trolled crawler harnesses,bottom bouncers,crawlers,cranks, and minnows!I think early evening or sunset my be ok but after dark it seems like the walleye dissappear

wallys move into shallow water at night , since they dont like bright light
the time you spend fishing cannot be deducted from your life...

Yep, eyes on inland lakes are up shallow feeding if the water isn't too hot. I've run F-11 rapalas off of inline boards for saugeyes and done pretty good.

typically in lake erie the best way Ive found is fishing 7 to 14 fow with green or chartruce reef runners. Inland waters now lil different, depending on above ground or below ground, above ground I run a DT6 shad or sexy shad by KVD in 7 to 28 fow depending where fish r holding, below groung I`ll run a hj6 or hj7 siilver or gold pattern. works greatt 4 me . good luck

Above ground and below ground are referring to types of reservoirs.
Inland Guide Service: Servicing NE Ohio lakes: Deer Creek, Atwood, Berlin, Dale Walborn, PLX, and Nimisila; for crappie, bluegill, saugeye, and walleye.

Make sure you are real familiar with the lake you are trolljng on at night . Don't want to tear up your boat . Also , indepthoutdoors has a dvd for sale on night trolljng .
