Fished out of Hulbert toward stocker. Saw 1 crappie and 2 perch all day. Not that many lookers on the FL-8 Was a nice day but ice started getting gray and about 1/12 inch of slush in spots. Creeks are runnign heavy into the lake.
Think I am putting it up and getting out the steelhead gear.
Was a great season and looking foreward ot next year.

Thanks Dumpster,
We are planning on sunday . Either out of Ohio campground or Orchard park. There were a few amish today and they fished stocker and had only one fish. Buddy saw them at Tuttle were they were going to try again. He was not fishing. Just looking and had his wife up there showing her the pair of eagles there on the nest already.

It is still nice to be out on the ice. Going with friends and meeting new ones is what it is about for me. Better than setting home and watching reruns!!!
Being an optimist I hope late ice will be better but again maybe ice out will be great. Think Positive!!!

Same here. Got a few eyes between 2 or sometimes four guys. Lot of lookers come through but not that many takers. Between two of us 3 eyes was the most..Best action ,,,,"ACTION" was in 14.5 feet of water. Nice fish,,,,20 to 24 but few! It is still nice to be out there but a few more fish would make it more interesting. Fished yesterday had one on and I do not see how they throw those sharp hooks!!

Anyways ,,,, does anyone have a ice report for the lake after this rain. trying to decide if to go to Pyma and able to get on the ice or go steelie fishing.
wondering if the shore ice is gone making it unsafe to get on.

I use one for about two years. Just make the rope short otherwise you are fighting the sled. This way you are kind of lifting the front of the sled. Use my dear sliing!

Scattered eyes on the south end with a late bite. 4,,,4:30 and later. Nice fish nothing under 19 biggest I saw 25. Been targeting 15 to 18 feet.
Not setting the world on fire but enjoying being out. Snow is not as bad as I thought it would be but I guess I just put the kiss of death on that!!!!

They are on the auger for the last two years. Used them yesterday and cut through the ice on pymatuming with no trouble. Must be 10 to 12 inches. I do protect them with the cover right after use. They feel as sharp as when I put them bsack on. Shaved the ice like a snow cone!
