Finally got out yesterday afternoon around 3 pm.  I set up over 20FOW on 5" of good ice and 5" of powdered snow, light wind, and plenty of sunshine.  I marked lots of fish but I had no takers using plastics.  It was still a great day to be out.

New PB for me. 18 inches on a small tungsten jig tipped with a waxie. Caught on a Clam ice team ultra-light rod with an Eagle Claw in-line reel. Quite a battle taking drag with several runs. I was so afraid that the 4 lb line would break!

Started at Blackhawk on Saturday morning. 6in measured  moved around quite a bit. So so bite.  Great to be out as my feet never touched ice last season. Get it now as it looks like the warm up is coming soon.

Today, Saturday was slower action than Wednesday, but I still caught a few. Lots of small fish so far this year. Tuesday may be the last day for a while.

Made it out to moundwood Friday after work..fished from 400 pm until 630.  Had two hit but no chance to set the hook.  Had a few sniffers on the vex but no other hits.  A out 7" of ice and 9.5' of water.

Thanks slab.. since season will be short this year with rain and warm temps on the way, I don't think it would do me much-needed good.
