Man was it windy!! Made for tough fishing. Especially since I forgot my shanty anchors at home, went chasing it a few times. But with all that excitement, I managed some crappie and gills. Also managed to break the screw off the throttle for my auger. Will be fixing that this afternoon. Fish were aggressive early then the bite got tougher later in the morning. Fish were from 10-17' deep, holding 3-6' off bottom.
Inland Guide Service: Servicing NE Ohio lakes: Deer Creek, Atwood, Berlin, Dale Walborn, PLX, and Nimisila; for crappie, bluegill, saugeye, and walleye.

Yeah the wind is nasty. If your new to ice fishing in the wind it can be comical, dangerous, frustrating, annoying, and on and on and on.
On another note, I have to hand it to you, you are truly a die hard ice fisherman. You are taking full advantage of a great ice year. Props to you for your dedication.
I have been hunting crappie locally, been getting a few, mainly small. Those big boys have been hiding from my baits good this season, but it's not over yet.
Good report

Here's a pic of the conditions. My shanty didn't blow that far away!!
I was just over there drilling holes and thought my shanty in the distance with the blowing snow made for a cool pic. The little black dot to the right of the shanty is my Vex. I'm going again tomorrow, but over to Deer Creek this time. The month of February has been great to me for ice fishing! I've gotten out 18 of the 28 days this month, a lot better than last year!!
Looks like we'll be ice fishing thru mid-March at least, with next week's temps!

Unfortunately I don't, Berlin isn't safe now.
