After a lengthy absence I am looking forward to hitting the hard water again. I hope my auger is sharp and I can remember how its done.

What is the ice like at Nimi? I'm not even in the country yet so I haven't even seen the conditions. Any info would be great!

Trekking is very very tough due to the snow & slush on top of the ice.  Ice is a good 8-10", but the 4-5" of slop really makes waking and dragging gear a challenge.

should be rock hard again by then,according to forecast,good luck when you hit the ice,bet you can't wait
