Was at OSP yesterday Snow mobilers and 4 wheelers driving by like crazy But didnt stop the fish from biting. But my thoughts are its played out. Any fish with size had lockjaw or just sore lipped.
I myself went with a buddy yesterday. fished in about 15 fow around 11 feet deep with minnows. Used 2 dozen in 2 hours. Caught Many crappie and gills. Lost a 12-13 inch at the hole. Kept 2 11's 4 10's and 2 9 1/2's. Was a good day when you run out of bait.....
I see there is a tournament at wingfoot on the 22nd.and I see that it does not say no frozen fish on this tournament Please add that rule. And have u decided on a perch pot. And will there be a odd fish pot.
I have friends telling me they want to fish it but will not have and safety gear. It does say fish at your own risk. Meaning only the fisherman is responsible. Seriously the ice is 9" thick and most likely will still be that thick. So basically will they be able to enter and fish without what u said u were gonna look for.
Ok i'm sure this sounds stupid. But what exactly is Proper Safety Gear for ice fishing. A Rope i carry one if the ice is thin. But that's about it. lol
I tried to post today's keepers. Not counting the throw backs or the two channel cats i caught 16+ inches. But if you want to see them its in Photobucket. Under Nick Carrelli.
