Is anyone optimistic about this little cold spell we are supposed to get?

I was fishing Saturday on 6 inches of black ice so this cold spell will help.

We might get out again in Central Ohio again. We are looking at freezing temps for at least the next 10 days. They are no where near as cold as the last round so it will take longer to freeze but we may get there......

Newbie to ice fishing but loving it!

I’m going to head out th S morning and check my spots here up north.  I think Fishing is possible this morning!!

Surprisingly, All the rain water on Nimmy on Saturday was locked up by Sunday when I took a drive.  No doubt every little sub 32 day or night helps out.

with the weather swings I cant even try and guess, my buddy was on erie  catching eyes yesterday and today starts another winter advisory.  do I want ice or open water, that's the question every year .. hhhmmmm 
the time you spend fishing cannot be deducted from your life...

Went today for a couple hours or so.  PLX ice so so.  Was deteriorating as I was there, but still 4-5” of clear, black ice.  Shoreline holding up ok, not great but didn’t need a plank. Threw my back out somehow, so it looks like I’m done for a few days. Thought I’d have to call someone to help me off the ice.  Totally crazy!  No slips, trips, or falls. Getting older sucks!
